Several local buses stop near Northumbria University. The closest stops to the venue are the following:

- 1, 37, 38 buses are a direct link from Central Station. Once on the bus, you should ask for the stop at ‘Civic Centre, Sandyford Road and this will drop you outside the Northumbria Library. From here, the venue is a 10-minute walk/ 0.4-mile walk.
Most of the buses in Newcastle are low floor, allowing for easy wheelchair access and have both audio and visual next stop announcements. They also have dedicated wheelchair spaces and priority seating

Taxi
Taxis will be able to drop off directly outside the main entrance on Day Street, where a fully accessible entrance to the building is located. There is not a taxi rank at the venue, however we would recommend ordering a taxi outside the Claude Gibb building on Day Street, postcode is NE1 8QE. Taxis can be booked with Noda Taxis, who have wheelchair-friendly vehicles available upon request. You can book a taxi by calling 01912221888. We recommend using the same company for taxi pick up. Should you require additional support when calling your taxi for departure please advise one of the Civil Service Volunteers, who will be happy to assist where needed.
